Nine Eleven.
A day that will live in infamy forever
in all Americans hearts.
My heart has been heavy most of
today and I am just now bringing myself
to write this post.
We've been watching most of the
coverage this evening and it's just terrible.
I learned a lot of things about this horrific
day that I was too young to understand ten
years ago. I remember being in 7th grade Bible
class and someone came in and told us to turn on
the TV. I remember being scared. My
mom came and picked my brother and I
up from school within the hour and I remember
just going home and watching all the coverage on TV.
I hope all Americans are still proud to
live in this country even through this wound
that we have suffered from.
This quote from George W. Bush (my favorite!)
says a lot:
"Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America,
there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We
will remember every rescuer who died in honor.
We will remember every family that lives in grief.
We will remember the fire and ash,
the last phone calls, the funerals of the children."
George W. Bush
This is by far the best picture I've seen all day:
Gone but not forgotten.
Many prayers sent out today for the families who lost
loved ones on this tragic day.
xoxo,
