The Vow.

Last Friday, on opening night, I went with my mom
and little sister to see The Vow. I of course was SO
excited due to all the hype being created by this movie and
couldn't wait to see it. We of course had girls dinner
first at one of our favorite restaurants across
the street from the movie theatre. Also while
watching the previews I got so excited for The Lucky One
to come out! It looks so good as well.

I don't want to give away too much for those
of you who haven't seen it yet but I can say that
you MUST go see it.  If you love sappy love stories like
I do you will be completely captured by this movie. I cried about
75% of the movie.. which for me means that it was a
good movie. I couldn't help but text [KP] after the movie
was over and tell him how much I love him and how thankful
I am for him. Yes, it was that kind of a movie. It hit me right
in the heart.

One of my favorite scenes of the movie.. who doesn't love
Channing Tatum soaking wet?!

I think Rachel McAdams is gorgeous!

I also was thinking a lot after the movie
and I am really thankful that I have my blog! I told
[KP] he should be thankful that I blog almost everything
that happens in our lives so that if we ever
get in an accident and I lose my memory
I read back on my blog and remember how
much I love him! This means more sappy
lovey posts for [KP] coming up soon! hah.

Before any good movie comes out that
was made after a book I always try and
read the book first.. but I got busy and couldn't
find the book on my Ipad so it didn't get read
before hand. But I found the book in target (and
now it's available on the Ipad, of course) and
started reading it the next night.
I ended up finishing
the book before the weekend was over. It was so good!
I loved the book and the movie a lot for separate reasons.
Most of the books made into movies are way better as books
(Ahem, Nicholas Sparks!).
But since this one was written
by the actual couple I loved it a lot but it was so different than
the movie that I couldn't really say if one was better than the
other. I loved them both!
But if you love a good love story
read the book and go see the movie!
 You won't be disappointed.

I hope everyone is having a great
week so far!

Bridal Talk Tuesday: Happy Valentines Day- Engagement Picture Sneak Peak!

Linking up with Elizabeth today
over at Life with Elizabeth for Bridal
Talk Tuesday!

When thinking of when I would debut my Engagement Picture
sneak peak shots that our photographer posted on Facebook
I thought there would be no better time than
on Valentines Day and also on Bridal Talk Tuesday.
How convenient that these are on the same day today! :)

A little history first.
Maria Glassford of Maria Glassford Photography
was the first photographer that [KP] and I met with.
I knew I wanted to meet with her first because she was
my #1 choice. I was intrigued by every photo that she
posted on Facebook and stalked her page for new
photos long before we were even engaged. (Every bride
is a stalker, dont deny it!) So we met with Maria after
we had been engaged for a few months. I planned a Friday
out for us to meet and we met with her first thing in the
morning and I had plans for us to meet with two
other photographers that day. I wanted to meet
with all of my favorites in the same day so
that I could compare them best that way.
We talked with Maria like we had known her
forever.. and we actually knew a few other couples that
she had photographed. After we talked with Maria we
got in the car and [KP] looked at me and said "Ok,
my mind is made up. Can you cancel the appointments
for the rest of the afternoon?" At that point I knew
Maria would be our photographer. But of course, like any
good bride does I proceeded to go to the other appointments.
But I just didn't feel a connection with any of the other
photographers like I did with Maria. Her photos capture
so much emotion and I wanted the same things to be
captured on my day. I also loved that she was
a detail-oriented photographer. I love details! And
boy will there be lots of them to capture on our big day.

Now- the good stuff!

I hope you enjoyed them as much I did!

Happy Valentines Day!

I am officially an RN!

Before I had even taken my NCLEX exam I recevied
this in the mail.. Nothing like a little motivation right?

Let me just say that before I walked in to
take my NCLEX I was probably
the most nervous I have ever been in my entire life..
and of course KP always makes things better..
He says "Dont worry babes- it's not like your entire
future is riding on this test" And ohh wait.. yes it is.
So I went home afterwards feeling absolutely
awful. Wanting nothing more to go out
and get drunk.. And I did just that.
KP had the bartender at our favorite
sushi place make me some purple concoction
I've never heard of nor did I know what
was in it.. but at that point I didn't care.

Then I woke up the next morning.. nervously
logged into the site where I knew my results would
be posted that morning.. and saw..

I PASSED!
Whewww. What a relief!

Then a few days later I found my license in the mail..

It felt so good to see this.. I'm going to go out
and find it the prettiest pink frame I can find! :)

I am an RN! After 4 1/2 years of hard work I finally an seeing
the results! I applied for a few positions and I am
waiting to hear back.. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

The end is really the beginning.

I recently finished nursing school in December and
it is a nursing tradition to be pinned at the completion
of your studies by a fellow nurse.
We ordered our pins, wore our
white coast and celebrated our success!

My family joined in to watch me be pinned.

Me with Mimi & Papa.

We may or may not have coordinated these dresses on purpose!

And us with our favorite male nurse MK!

This isn't all of my class.. actually its less than half.
But some of them decided they
were too cool to attend.

Being recognize for serving on the student nurses board.

Pinning begins.. We decided as a class to be pinned
by one of our favorite instructors.

The whole fam! Doesn't my mom look great in her
favorite print X marks the spot?

Beverly and some of her bridesmaids!

It was fun to celebrate school being finished with our
pinning ceremony! I am so glad to be done with school.
Can't wait to get a job and get out in the real world.
But for now I am definitely enjoying the time off.

Bridal Talk Tuesday: Wedding antiquing

Linking up with Elizabeth at
today for Bridal Talk Tuesday!

I have fallen deeply in love with antiquing while
searching for items for our wedding.
Here are a few things I picked up in TN during New Years.

Ahh.. Milk Glass. How I love thee.

Scored these old windows for $10 each. I have big plans for
these!

These are old feed scoops.. not sure what I will do with
these yet.

And these will be our main centerpiece.
I want them to be overflowing with flowers.
And they will be tied with navy/white striped
grosgrain ribbon.

These are old water buckets that were used
to get water out of a well. How cute right?!
They are actually a little blue and green in
person but the photos don't show it very well.
I think these will be at the end of the aisle. Once
again stuffed full of flowers.

My stack.. I got a pretty good deal on the
wooden boxes since I bought just about every
single one they had.

I have loved finding all these amazing things!
And can't wait to see how my wedding planner
makes me visions come to life on our wedding day!
